I am trying to sync my iphone and it is telling me I need to update up my mac to the OX S 10.6.8 version so that I can update my itunes to the 11.1.5 version I do not see where I get the 10.6.8 os x version
Safari developer enrolment - we are unable to process your request
Hey Guys and Gals!
I'm not able to get certificate to assembly and run a custom Safari extension.
Specificially I can not even enroll the Safari developer program. I get this screen:
I go with Individual licence, accept terms and I got only this message:
That's the screenshot:
What is really weird, its the url that has "ios" in it, it makes me think, the redirect happened to some wrong URL as I'm applying to Safari dev program.
What I have tried:
- Different browser (Safari / Google Chrome / Private browsing).
- Click 'Cancel' and try again.
- Start whole process over again.
Nothing really worked out.
Any help is highly appreciated. Thank you!

CHUD install fails for Mavericks.
I'm trying to install CHUD 4.6.2 on Mavericks - 10.9.2 and the installation fails.
I tried the Remove CHUD program which seemed to work, and then tried installing CHUD 4.6.2 again and it still fails.
Is there a new version of CHUD going to be released that works with Mavericks? Or does anyone know how to sucessfully install CHUD on Mavericks?
This is super dissapointing because atMonitor won't fully work without CHUD and upgrading to Mavericks (for the new version of xcode) is causing this issue.

I suppose it has something to do with NSFileManager and files/directories attributes, but I can't figure it out.

Missing 4-inch retina display screenshot
An app that I made that was released about 2 years ago had some issues with iOS 7, so I fixed those and submitted an update. I got an email that it was missing 4-inch retina display screenshots (I know they are required now, but that slipped my mind I guess), so I went in to add those screenshots.
After adding all five of them (all of which were 1136x640, I triple-checked), I hit the "save" button. The following error appeared at the top of the page:
"Your binary indicates support for 4-Inch Retina Display. You must provide an 4-Inch Retina Display screenshot. You must upload screenshots for 3.5-inch and 4-inch Retina displays."
I definitely have all my 960x640 screenshots under the "3.5-Inch" section and my 1136x640 screenshots in the "4-Inch" section. Why is the page not recognizing that they are there?
iPod Touch Power Management
We are a corporate customer who uses the iPod Touch to deliver a mobile solution geared for the healthcare/senior care industry.
Our app is currently delivered using wifi enabled iPod Touch devices leveraging the customer premise wifi network.
We've had some consistent complaints from customers that wifi connectivity with the iPod touch devices is inconsistent. After conducting a substantial amount of data collection at three customer sites, it appears that iOS power management is contributing to the issue on some level.
However, documentation is not readily available to help us understand how iOS power management works, and it what scenarios it will throttle power to the wifi radio. Our data suggest taht the following metrics have an effect on power management of the wifi radio:
- inactivity (guaged by screen touches, not accelerometer)
- weak wifi signal from the Acess Point (ipod will disconnect from a weak signal, while other devices remain connected)
- battery charge level (under 20% much more likely to experieince wifi issues)
Two questions:
- Where can we review more detailed documentation to help us understand how iOS power managment functions?
- How can we begin a dialogue to have Apple work with us to resolve (or provide some level of control over) these power issues?

How to test Lightning Charger cable
We sell devices (male lightning tip) that will charge iPhones/iPods/iPads that have a Lightning socket.
Our device therefore has the Apple Male connector. How can I attach an electronic load to verify the power output capability of this device?
First I need a female Lightning socket then the best solution for authenticating without an iPhone/iPod or iPad connected. Custom hardware is acceptable.
Since we load many of these at a time, a full blown ATS is not an option.

Not sure where else to post but these are some functionality suggestions I would like to make to improve the ease of use of all iOS products:
1. Move the EQ settings into the music app itself since they only affect audio played in the music app. This would simplify EQ toggling.
2. Move the Delete History/Cookies and Data setting into Safari itself for similar reasons to suggestion 1.
3. In the Phone app, instead of having to select a contact to call (which I admit is not exactly time consuming), place an option in Settings which, when activated would allow typing of a contact's name (or number, if known) using only the number buttons in the Phone app and would bring up a short list of contacts which fit this text string. Eg If I wanted to dial a contact named Steve I could begin typing '783' which represents the letters 'ste' in old-style text input. The short list would then display any contacts containing those letters, in that order (or indeed any contact represented by any of the letters on those number buttons, or any contact's phone number containing 783). Further button presses would narrow the list and the desired contact could be selected at any time to begin dialling immediately. It would work in a similar way to Spotlight Search except that it would use old-style text input and would be restricted to names and phone numbers only. This feature could be disabled in Settings by users who did not require it.
4. Option to disable Notification Center altogether or just while using apps in Settings.
5. Option to disable Control Center altogether in Settings.
I would very much like to see these features and changes implemented in a future update to iOS and I require no acknowledgement, reward or recompense for suggesting them.

Having issues connecting iPhone for testing Xcode 5.0
I am having issues connecting an iPhone 5 for testing and debugging in Xcode 5.0. When the device is connected and Xcode opens, the system hangs.

The Mac goes to a totally unusable state when the device is connected and Xcode is open. The problem persists only if Xcode is open while the device is connected. There is no problem in connecting the device or in working of Xcode independantly. I don't even have to run the program on the device for the Mac to hang, just connect the device, that is all.

Provide detailed information for the issue, including the system and developer tools version information, and any relevant crash logs or console messages. Be prepared to submit a sample project that demonstrates the issue(s).
• Each top level issue deserves a unique report.
• Posting in the Developer Forums is not reporting. Apple does not read those comments nor harvest information from them, so file bugs if you want to be heard. Add your report # to your thread for reference, thanks.
• When reporting an issue it is helpful to provide console logs, device* logs, and screenshots that illustrate the problem.

General notes about bugs:

problems with UIImage imageWithCIImage and CIImage imageWithCGImage

At some point in my phto/video processing, I have a CGImage that I need to convert to CIImage to apply some CIImage adjustments. Eventually, need to convert it to UIImage for display.
The code below seems to be the efficient way of doing it:
CIImage *outputImage = [CIImage imageWithCGImage:cgImage]
...do some processing with CIImage...
UIImage *finalImage = [UIImage imageWithCGImage:ref scale:1.0 orientation:imageOrientation];
However, it seems to rescale image introducing various artifacts, pretty much messing up the image.
On the other hand, if I create another copy of CGImage with:
CIImage *outputImage = [CIImage imageWithCGImage:cgImage]
...do some processing with CIImage...
IContext *context = [CIContext contextWithOptions:nil];
CGImageRef ref = [context createCGImage:outputImage fromRect:outputImage.extent];
CGImageRelease(cgImage);

the photo is good - i.e. it doesn't mess up the image, but does double allocation causing huge memory spike for a full res photo - it may even crash the app.
1. Why is the CGImage to CIImage to UIImage as in the first example broken ?

XCode 5.0.2 hangs running iOS simulator
Having issues running iOS with even a basic empty application. I'm using
Xcode 5.0.2

I'm just trying to run the basic "Start developing iOS Apps" tutorial. When creating a new Empty project and run it, the IOS simulator take 5-10 minutes just to show the empty white screen. All this time the task of the app Xcode seems to be hung. When "Stop" is clicked nothing happens. If I try to exit Xcode in this state, if pops up a warning that exiting Xcode will stop running tasks, then it Xcode just hangs after I click to proceed. Does anyone know how to solve this?

I'm trying to build my app on iPhone4-4s and get errors:
Could not build module 'Darwin'
Cyclic dependency in module 'Darwin': Darwin -> Foundation -> CoreFoundation -> Darwin

But, on iPhone 5-5s it's working well.
PS. Build settings -> Architecture -> Architectures and change the option to architecture ( armv7 , armv7s ) not working for me.

My iPhone 5 isn't turning on, what do I do?
My iPhone 5 was stored in a drawer for about 2 weeks. When I took it out to charge it, everything went as normal up until the Apple icon showed up. This is when the Apple icon started to pop up and then the screen would return to black, then the Apple icon would pop up again, then the screen would return to black, and this kept on repeating. Later, I tried to plug my phone to my MacBook pro and iTunes wouldn't recognize my phone. The Apple icon showing up and then disappearing happened when it was plugged into my laptop as well.
The USB wire works with my sister's iPhone 5, so does the wall plug. My laptop also recognizes whenever my sister plugs in her iPhone so it's not the wire or laptop's fault. I've tried holding the menu button and off button for 30 seconds, a minute, and two minutes. Nothing happens. I'm not sure what the solution to this'll be. I've tried everything I can think of before taking it to someone professional.

Hello, I am developing an iPhone application for iPhone and have been trying to create an apple dev account for my company, I applied for the DUNS number and received it, than I tried to create my company account on Apple dev site and got your d&b info was not accpeted, I emailed them and they said that my application is now manually submitted and I have to wait 14 days, I waited for 14 days and after that tried, again with no luck, I again contacted d&b and they said I have to wait 5 days, after 5 days they said I have to again wait for 14 days, this is really frustrating, what should I do? is there anything that I could be possibly missing?

Cannot download WWDC 2008 videos or older
I'm trying to download some videos from the older WWDC sessions which Apple published on iTunes. Unfortunately when I click download it just buffers and fails to download or just crashes iTunes. Anyone know what could be going on?

This link is about the best info you're going to be able to get (unless your company is akin to facebook or Google).
The first thing you can do is increase the strength of your Wi-Fi network signal by perhaps installing some network extenders where the signal is weak.
There's no way a weak battery (under 20% for example) is going to cause any difference in how iOS works.
As long as the current levels are at the prescribed specs, battery level has no effect on anything other than the length of time you have left to use the device before recharging.

There is no way to prevent someone from doing whatever they like with the app they download from the App Store.
However, if you're source code is safe and in multiple secured backup sites, the resulting code from decompiling is nearly useless.
Don't worry about it; just keep your source code safe.
How can I reboot my Mac on an SSD Drive??
I basically used a youtube video to install a 480GB SSD Drive into where the CD drive goes. I formatted it, so its working and I now have 2 hard drives on my Mac book Pro, my orginal 150GB HD and my new 480GB SSD.
I have the time machine backed up on an additional external hard drive. So what Im trying to do is move everything on my HD drive to my new SSD drive.
I have started my laptop with command + R to go into reboot mode, I have selected reboot from time machine and then selected my new SSD drive to reboot it on - the problem is here I get an error message, saying there is a problem please restart your computer and try again.
I have tried different time machine back ups with the same results so I know its not that. The only other problem I think it could be is I still have everything installed on my orginal HD drive and the mac wont let me have 2 copies on my computer at the same time??
Anybody with experience would be helpful, I don't want to erase my orginal HD incase when I try to reboot I still get the same error message.

I am creating a simple PDF reader. All of the sample codes that i saw i had to tap a button to open the pdf. But what i really want is to open the pdf file when te app runs, without tapping a button.
This is my viewDidLoad code in ViewController.m:

How To Change Your Apple ID/Password
Go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and select "Manage your Apple ID". Log in with your Apple ID and password, then select Password and Security from the left column. Your Apple ID password is used for most everything Apple-related, including your Developer Account, iTunes, the App Store, and this site. An iBook account requires an additional/different login. If you want to change logins for Team Members you can do so via iTunes Connect*.
Passwords are case-sensitive. At least one character must be upper case.
At some point Apple may force you to change your Apple ID password anyway, but do not do so in response to any unsolicited email by clicking on a link provided within it. Such "phishing" attempts are common. Change it only after attempting to log in here, and your login attempt is blocked due to an expired password or other Apple-imposed requirement.

And remember, devs should rotate/change their pwds on a routine basis, so take this opportunity to practice safe security.

I am quite sorry - made a silly copy/paste mistake:
I am already using [UIImage imageWithCIImage] - which is where the problem is.
As posted in the question, the problem is with going from cgimage -> ciimage -> uiimage
It works fine if I make an extra conversion from ciimage back to cgimage.
The first part of the example code {that doesn't work well} is actually as folllows and not as shown above {copy/paste mistake}
