About beta ios versions support for old ipod touches.

Generally speaking, like 2 to 3 versions of iPhones are supported by new iOS versions, how many generation iPod touches are supported by new iOSes. I am asking this because i newly enrolled for the $99 developer program and Apple says its better to install betaiOS on a test device. So I was planning to buy a current generation ipod touch. However, I dont wanna be buying new iPod touches each year.

Re: About beta ios versions support for old ipod touches.

You need at least one test device to install betas on.

You need at least one development device running the current version iOS to build and test for deployment.

Never, ever install a beta on the only device you have as there is always the chance that it could be bricked.

Never, ever try to downgrade from a beta to the previous non-beta version of iOS.  This procedure is not supported nor recommended by Apple.

Development isn't cheap.

You may have to buy some new devices each year.

That's part of the cost of development.

Re: Question about developer programs.

HI,

You can take your own developer account and you can maintain all apps in your account. While showing the app in the app store it is displaying your account details only, so who are developed they won't display. While developmenmt of your apps, you can give development access for different developers.

Question about developer programs.

I have one question about developer programs.

So i work for this company that hired developer company to develop our apps. Developer company had our apps on their developer account. Well, now we are switching to other developer company and we wanna do our own developer account so if, in the future, we change developers we wont have to transfers apps from one account to another.

So the thing is, if we do our own developer account, could we list developer company as actual developer on this account? And would this information be shown in App Store?

I have a question about app identifyers.

On start up my iPhone log aosnotifyd shows up as saying "launch services" then says its trying to register app identifier com.apple.mobileme.fmf1

I found this https://discussions.apple.com/thread/1966849?start=0&tstart=0

In relation to why the process is running my question is

what is the app identifier for if the iphone can't find the app that the identifier is for?

I'm sorry if this sounds like a silly question but I would really appreciate an answer.

where can i submit a question/idea about a product that doesn't exist yet to apple?

hi,

i'm an artist, and i've been for a long time interested in the developpement of a music composing tool based on vocal technology mixed with a tactile-eyesight environment that could allow anyone to easily compose music of their own by singing;

this process could include video ( editing ) too.

since i'm only an user, not a programmer neither a technician, i've had in mind for a long time to try and keep in touch with apple products developpers to evoke this concept and idea, but i didn't managed to find an email or didn't know who to contact about that.

can you please tell me where to write or who to join ?

regards.

How would you go about making an html5 OS?

I've seen it done, but I have no idea how people do it.  Anyone have any clue?

iAd Unit sizes: I am a bit confused about the file limits

Say I have the bottom banner for iPad (hr) and full size iPad banner, what is the max iAdUnit size?

Is it: 350kb for full size iPad banner (including all the images included on that page), + 200kb for the bottom banner

Or how does it even work with sizes?

Apple consider customers ideas about new applets?

How can we share new ideas ?

Are there any department in apple for this kind of issues?

Re: Apple consider customers ideas about new applets?

http://www.apple.com/legal/policies/ideas.html

A quick search of apple.com found that link.

Bottom line:  You can submit an idea to Apple but you will never get any credit nor compensation if it is used.

Kind of one-sided I think.

If it's such a great idea, why not develop it yourself?
