Michael, thanks for your info but I'm not actually developing for the iOS platform. I'm hiring contractors, but I am the one who needs to sign up for the Developer program according to the documentation. Thus, my attempted foray into the forums. I wouldn't attempt to develop for Mac on a Windows machine and I didn't mean to knock the Mac. I have just found that, for me, the tools I need work better on Windows. I used both a Mac and a Linux machine in a previous job, so yeah it was pretty modern. I just found it really strange that I was getting this error even in a Safari browser on Windows, and Dammark was getting it too -- on a Mac.
Thanks

I have an applescript that I'm distibuting to very many people. Not very many people are updating to the newest versions, which I need them to. I want to remind them or notify them that the new update is out. What I want to do is have my script "ping" a website, so that if its online, it'll give people a message saying that a new update is out. It's important that it only gives a user this message once. Is this possible? And if so, how might I do it?
Hi. I have been learning a little bit of C++, using books and the internet. I have sucessfully made my first program in Xcode that converts celsius to farenheit and vice versa. I learned that in order to [easily] make an actual mac osx app/game/window, Obj-C is the way to go. But, since I already know a bit of C++ and like it, I have a quick question:
How does the process go of making a Objective-C++ program (with its own window) work with Xcode? Such as:
-how to make it (I assume 'Cocoa' because I have been playing with it)
-how to code it, which file to use (and changing it to Obj-C++, etc)
-how to compile/run/make it a complete relseased app
And also, using C++ to code the actualy bulk of the program and using Obj-C to make the GUI, is a good way to go right? - and how would that work, combining two languages...?
Thanks.
"Let me know if something is out there like this yet".
Sure. No problem.
