What does "DVFreeThread - CFMachPortCreateWithPort hack" mean?

Ok so I'm helping a friend out at the moment who cannot open garageband on his new Lion macbook. He could open it when he first got the computer, but after leaving it a few months could not. It seems almost everything has been tried - right down to reinstalling garageband, but still, when the icon is clicked it just bounces in the dock until it is forced quit. Anyway, I recommended dragging the garageband file from within the contents folder into a terminal window to see what was going on. Here was the result:

DVFreeThread - CFMachPortCreateWithPort hack = 0x44839a0, fPowerNotifyPort= 0x447c720

When I did this on my machine (which opens garageband fine), I had the exact same result with the exception of the last line "DVFreeThread - CFMachPortCreateWithPort hack = 0x44839a0, fPowerNotifyPort= 0x447c720". Can anybody explain what this line means? It looks to me (little terminal experience) that this has something to do with problem. Thank you in advance for any help, please assist with this problem as I'm completely out of ideas. Cheers, Ash.
