Can't login to iTunes Connect

Hello

 

I signed up for an iOS Developer account today and want to publish my app onto the AppStore.  To do this I open Application Loader using XCode,  I enter my apple ID and it tells me this, "Unable to find registered user with username ".  So I googled 'iTunes Connect' and tried to login using Safari.  Same error message.
